17th City Commits to 100% Renewable
Boulder, Colorado, announced Wednesday that by 2030 it would be powered by 100% renewable energy. It becomes the 17th city to make the pledge. Boulder’s pledge is only for electricity, and doesn’t include their transportation system.
Aspen, Colorado, Burlington, Vermont, and Greensburg, Kansas each obtain 100% of their electricity from renewable sources. Notably, Greensburg was the first town in the country to be 100% renewable.
