PPGMR Law Successfully Obtains Defense Verdict For Client BHP Billiton

PPGMR Law, in conjunction with the law firm of Quattlebaum, Grooms & Tull, PLLC, recently obtained a unanimous jury verdict for firm client BHP Billiton Petroleum (Fayetteville) LLC (“BHP”) after a six day jury trial in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Arkansas.  BHP successfully defended against allegations that it had breached a covenant of reasonable development in oil and gas leases.  Plaintiffs had sought to recover over $3 million in damages.
