Tesla Announces Potential Acquisition of American Solar Energy Company

Tesla announced on Tuesday that it will acquire Solar City, pending approval by the shareholders of both companies.  Tesla believes that their pending acquisition of Solar City would allow them to “accelerate the advent of sustainable energy.”  Tesla’s acquisition of Solar City would allow them to retail sustainable energy products that span from power generation to energy storage and electric transportation.
