EPA Finds Crittenden County To Meet Ozone Requirements
The United States Environmental Protection Agency recently announced that it will grant the Arkansas Department of Environmental Quality's request to designate Crittenden County as meeting the federal ozone standard under the Clean Air Act. Crittenden County, and other areas surrounding the Memphis, Tennessee metropolitan area, had fallen outside of the acceptable levels of ozone listed in the National Ambient Air Quality Standards.
